The Victims of Crime Act Grant Program provides federal funding to support victim service programs in Ohio. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has been designated as the administrator of this federal grant. The State Victim’s Assistance Act provides state funding to support enhanced victim service programs in Ohio. The guidelines, eligibility requirements, and application process for VOCA and SVAA grants are very similar. In order to be eligible for VOCA or SVAA financial aid, a victim assistance program must be operated by either a public agency or a private nonprofit organization, and direct service to individual victims of crime must be a core component of the organization’s mission and operations. -->
