US Department of Justice

Annual grant opportunity requiring two applications from every site seeking funding: one application from a lead state, local, or tribal law enforcement agency (in close collaboration with a partner victim service organization) and one application from a lead victim service organization (in close collaboration with a partner law enforcement agency). --> more information
Annual grant opportunity to provide timely, high-quality services to victims of human trafficking as defined by TVPA, as amended, and to enhance interagency collaboration and coordination in the provision of services to such victims. --> more information


US Department of Health and Human Services

Description: Annual grant opportunity to provide comprehensive case management services to foreign victims of human trafficking and potential victims seeking HHS certification. Grantees provide case management, referrals, emergency assistance, and other forms of aid, including housing, mental health screening and therapy, employment assistance, and legal services. Description: Annual grant opportunity to build the capacity of local anti-trafficking networks, organize public awareness efforts, and identify victims of trafficking. Each grantee sub-awards 60 percent of grant funds to grassroots organizations that identify and serve victims. Find grant information here.

 

State

Office of Criminal Justice Services

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Program funds projects that assist units of local government develop and strengthen effective law enforcement and prosecution strategies and services to combat crimes against women. --> more information.
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program allows states, tribes, and local governments to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own local needs and conditions. The JAG program blends the previous Byrne formula and Local Law Enforcement Block grant programs into a single program to provide agencies with the flexibility to prioritize and place justice funds where they are needed most. --> more information.


Ohio Attorney General's Office

The Victims of Crime Act Grant Program provides federal funding to support victim service programs in Ohio. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has been designated as the administrator of this federal grant. The State Victim’s Assistance Act provides state funding to support enhanced victim service programs in Ohio. The guidelines, eligibility requirements, and application process for VOCA and SVAA grants are very similar. In order to be eligible for VOCA or SVAA financial aid, a victim assistance program must be operated by either a public agency or a private nonprofit organization, and direct service to individual victims of crime must be a core component of the organization’s mission and operations. --> more information.
